Three Good Things About Nova Scotia

1. Beautiful Scenery. Nova Scotia has wonderful coastal scenery, with a vast quantity of coves, inlets, beaches and coastline that nearly surrounds the province. I will be posting images of Nova Scotia throughout the life of this blog.

2. Rural Life. For better or worse, much of Nova Scotia is dominated by villages and small towns. Americans, or indeed, residents of many countries, would consider these "towns" to be little more than villages themselves, but they provide useful places for the traveler to restock on supplies.

3. Temperate Weather. Nova Scotia's proximity to the Gulf Stream gives it mild summers and winters. The trade-off is that the coasts can be on the humid side, but temperatures themselves never seem over-the-top hot or anywhere near as cold as the Prairies in winter (-40 below on either temperature scale!).
